Welcome to Orewa Private Kindergarten

At Orewa Private Kindergarten we pride ourselves on the quality care and education of children from two to five years old on the Hibiscus Coast. We’ve been operating since 1997, providing a service that parents can trust.

Busy parents can rest assured that their children are in the right hands when they leave them in our care. Our staff are highly qualified and experienced, and above all, have a passion for children. We believe that every child is special, with their own unique abilities, and we embody this in our practice. Children learn at a pace that they are comfortable with, are supported and encouraged in every step, and have their achievements celebrated.

Early childhood learning is important to the success of a child’s development. At Orewa Private Kindergarten, children have the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and nurturing environment, giving them the skills and confidence in their transition to school. Children also experience a warm social environment, developing relationships both with peers and adults.

LEARN

We have an inclusive programme based on respect and inclusion of children and abilities. Our programme is designed to build confidence in children and encourage independence. We encourage our children to co-construct the curriculum with staff and our learning programme is responsive to the childrens’ emerging interests. See more on our curriculum.

PLAY

We have a large outdoor play area and we have a free flow between indoor and outdoor learning activities. We have mixed age grouping to facilitate socialising and to eliminate transitions to new rooms or buildings. See more on our activities.

PARENTS

We aim to provide the best for both parents and their children. We strongly encourage parents to visit our Centre before enrolling their child, and we encourage regular visits and chats with parents on their child’s progress. Read more about our philosophy.
